Hold the Keep: Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you play Hold the Keep (the "game"), a mobile game published on Google Play by ENGAGE MEDIA TV LTD ("we", "us", "our"), and how it is used and shared.

The game has no accounts and no logins. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, photos, contacts or precise location. There are no in-app purchases.

Who we are

We are the controller of the information described in this policy.

Information collected

• Game progress and settings (stars earned, sound on or off) are stored only on your device. We do not receive them.
• Gameplay analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played: for example levels started and finished, waves reached, towers built, upgraded or sold, and rewarded ads watched. Along with these events, Firebase collects an app instance identifier, your device's advertising ID where available, device and app information (device model, operating system version, language, app version) and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address.
• Advertising. The game shows rewarded ads only: an ad plays only when you choose to watch one (for example, to get 5 more lives after a defeat). There are no banner or interstitial ads. Ads are delivered by Google AdMob and by the Engage Ads SDK, our own ad technology. To choose, deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, ad requests include your advertising ID where available, your IP address (used to estimate approximate location), device and app information, ad interaction data (such as whether an ad was shown, clicked or watched to the end) and, where applicable, your consent choices. AdMob and our ad server may share this information with advertising partners that bid to show an ad.
• Install attribution. We use Tenjin to learn which advertising campaign, if any, led to an install of the game. The Tenjin SDK collects your advertising ID, device and app information, your IP address and the Google Play install referrer. It also receives a small number of in-game events (level started, level finished, rewarded ad watched) and ad revenue information. Tenjin may pass install and event information to the advertising network that showed you an ad for the game, so that network can measure and optimize its campaigns.
• Push notifications. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging assigns a registration token to your device so we can send news about the game, such as new levels. We only use the token for notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

How we use information

• To run the game and deliver notifications you have allowed.
• To understand how the game is played, fix problems and improve level design and difficulty.
• To show and measure ads, and to prevent ad fraud.
• To measure which of our advertising campaigns bring players to the game.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not use the information to identify you by name.

Consent and legal bases

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game shows Google's consent form the first time it runs, and ads are personalized only if you agree. Your consent choices are passed to our ad partners. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for personalized advertising, and on our legitimate interests for analytics, non-personalized advertising, attribution and fraud prevention. Push notifications rely on your consent, given through the Android notification permission.

Third-party services

These providers process information under their own privacy policies:

• Google (AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, User Messaging Platform): Google Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from apps that use its services and Privacy and Security in Firebase.
• Tenjin (install attribution): Tenjin Privacy Policy.
• Engage Ads (ad delivery): operated by ENGAGE MEDIA TV LTD under this policy.

Data retention

Analytics data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above; user-level analytics data in Google Analytics is kept for no longer than 14 months. Attribution data is kept by Tenjin for as long as needed to report on campaigns. Data stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the game.

International transfers

We are based in Israel, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

All information the game sends is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we and our providers use reasonable measures to protect it.

Your choices and rights

• Advertising ID: you can reset or delete it, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads).
• Notifications: turn them off in your device settings at any time.
• Stop all collection: uninstall the game.
• Access, correction, deletion and objection: depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK, Israel or US states such as California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, email info@engagemedia.tv. Because the game has no accounts, please include your device's advertising ID if you can, so we can find the relevant data. We will respond within the time required by law, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
• You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher minimum age that applies in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@engagemedia.tv and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
